Swyse - pronounced - 'SW•EYE•SE' is a startup being developed in Austin, TX that is capitalizing on the burgeoning sharing economy that is being propelled by companies like UBER and Air BnB. Swyse has a simple premise: why go out and pay for that item you are only going to use once when you could borrow it from a neighbor? There have been a few attempts at this sharing model but none have been done focusing on an intuitive experience that is easy for everyone on the block to use.

I was commissioned on this project to head up the design process for designing an app that would focus on the ease and simplicity of user experience. Swyse wanted to step away from the lack of security and confusing user experience of sites like craigslist and create a user experience that engaged the user while creating a sharing economy based peer to peer network. Swyse is much more than making a few dollars on an old item collecting dust its a way of connecting to your community and others around you. For design I focused on clean contemporary design that was centered around a seaweed green color scheme that tied into the green nature the company wants to represent.
